България и Гърция подписаха Програма за съвместни действия в областта на туризма за периода 2024 – 2026 г. преди официалното откриване на международното туристическо изложение Philoxenia Expo 2023, на което България е почетен гост и участва с щанд на площ от 100 кв. м. Информация за документа и изложението беше разпространена от българското Министерство на туризма. „Подписването на Програмата ще засили допълнително двустранните отношения. Това ще даде началото на нови съвместни проекти и инициативи, ще създаде общи туристически бизнес мрежи, ще разработи проекти за насърчаване на инвестициите и развитието на туристически продукти“, коментира туристическият министър Динкова. По време на срещата с гръцкия си колега Олга Кефалояни тя заяви, че през последните години взаимното политическо доверие се задълбочава. „Търговско-икономическите отношения се развиват включително и на регионално ниво. Ползотворно е сътрудничеството в областта на културата и образованието. Оценяваме и подкрепата ви за членството на България в Шенгенското пространство“, допълни Динкова. По думите й туристическият сектор предлага нови икономически възможности, а културното ни наследство свързва хората. „Двустранното ни сътрудничество се развива все по-интензивно. Броят на гръцките туристи в България продължава да расте и Гърция остава една от най-предпочитаните дестинации за българските туристи“, отбеляза Зарица Динкова. Събитие като Philoxenia Expo е съвременна възможност за създаване на платформа, насочена към оползотворяване на туристическия ни потенциал и укрепване на трансграничното партньорство, каза при откриването на изложението българският министър на туризма. „Променяме модела за растеж към нов по-устойчив, екологичен, дигитален и приобщаващ, за да може сектора да се изправи пред предстоящите предизвикателства“, посочи Динкова.
