За четвърта поред година бургаските деца в предучилищна възраст ще минат безплатни профилактични прегледи на зрението по общинската програма „Мързеливо око“. Този път в здравната кампания ще се включат общо 1670 малчугани, които са в 3-та възрастова група на детските градини и предучилищните групи.
Профилактичните прегледи ще бъдат извършвани от лекари-офталмолози от „Очна клиника Д-р Хубанов“, Медицински център „Оксиком“ и Медицински център за специализирана помощ „Д-р Иванови – Младост“.
През миналата година Община Бургас закупи и втори мобилен апарат /рефрактометър/ за скрининг на очите, за да може да се обхванат по-голям брой деца. Оттогава в изследването се включват и студенти по медицина от университета „Проф. д-р Асен Златаров“, за които това е практическо обучение по профилактика на очните заболявания при подрастващите.
От първото провеждане на програмата досега безплатно бяха прегледани близо 3500 бургаски деца, като сред 550 от тях бяха открити зрителни нарушения и бяха насочени навреме към подходящия очен специалист. Някои от децата преминаха курс по терапевтична очна гимнастика, а на други бяха предписани очила.
Програмата „Мързеливо око“ е дългосрочна и има за цел ранно откриване, диагностика и при необходимост насочване към навременна терапия и корекция на зрението при децата.
Освен нея, Община Бургас въведе още профилактични програми за установяване на гръбначни изкривявания, затлъстяване и плоскостъпие при децата в ученическа възраст, а от тази година и нова програма за диагностика и лечение на метаболитен синдром (затлъстяване, артериална хипертония и предиабет) при децата от 7 до 18 г.
