Един работник, който е получил тежки наранявания, остава в критично състояние. Осеметажното скеле се срути върху асансьорна шахта тази сутрин малко след 09:00 ч. местно време. Противопожарната служба съобщи, че отломките достигат до втория етаж на сградата, до която е било разположено съоръжението. Елементите на скелето трябва да бъдат отстранявани един по един, което забави достъпа до жертвите с часове. На мястото на инцидента работят около 150 спасители. Причината за инцидента все още не установена. Следователи от хамбургската полиция вече са започнали първоначален оглед. “Въпреки това е много рано да се даде оценка за причината за срутването”, каза представител на силите на реда. Инцидентът е станал в строителната зона “Юберзеквартир” в пристанищния район “Хафен сити”, където се изграждат търговски център, ресторанти, офиси и хотели. Това е една от най-големите строителни площадки в Хамбург. Според един от ръководителите на строежа когато скелето се е срутило, на обекта са работили между 1300 и 1500 души.
