Техниката е дарение от Съюза на печатарската индустрия в България и Полиграфическа група „Демакс“. В студиото студентите ще се обучават по журналистика, онлайн медии и книгоиздаване. „Ние сме под покрива на най-старата сграда на нашата Алма Матер. Сградата вече е на 140 години, тя е в непрекъснати ремонти. Имахме нужда от ново оборудване и модерни станции, на които студентите да практикуват в условия, близки до реалните редакционни условия“, обясни домакинът на събитието проф. д-р Веселина Вълканова, декан на Факултета по журналистика и масова комуникация. Тя заедно с г-н Петър Кънев, почетен председател на СПИБ, инж. Красимир Илиев, председател на Съюза и инж. Румен Трифонов – главен секретар, както и г-жа Екатерина Николова, главен редактор на сп. „Полиграфия“ представиха студиото и неговите възможности. „Споделяме общи цели и отговорности – да подготвяме бъдещите професионалисти по социални комуникации в България“, обърна се проф. Вълканова към гостите на откриването. „Рядко се намират приятни поводи, такъв приятен повод е днешният“, заяви Петър Кънев. „Всичко стана случайно, бяхме при ръководството на факултета и решихме, че е пълен абсурд студентите от Софийския университет специалност „Полиграфия“ да нямат база, на която да се обучават. Да набират, странират и да редактират, да обработват страниците на печатни издания“, разказа още Кънев. По думите му има още неща за обзавеждане, но тепърва предстоят. Специална грамота за полученото дарение ще бъде връчена от зам.-ректора на Софийския университет „Св. Климент Охридски“ – проф. Георги Вълчев. „Няма как да не изкажа нашата гореща благодарност към Съюза на печатарската индустрия в България и Полиграфическа група „Демакс““, каза Вълчев. По думите му няма как България да е привлекателна, ако няма инвестиции в образованието.
