Макар летният туристически сезон да не е приключил и за равносметка все още да е малко рано, изглежда секторът у нас се радва на силно лято по отношение на посещения на туристи. Това се вижда от статистическите данни на НСИ – през юли посещенията на чужди граждани в България са с 19.7% повече в сравнение с юли 2022 година. Регистрирано е увеличение по всички наблюдавани цели – туризъм, служебни и други. През юли обаче половината от посещенията са с цел почивка и екскурзия – 50,3%, следвани от посещенията с други цели – 43,9%, и със служебна цел – 5,8%. От къде идват най-много туристи: Най-много посещения с цел туризъм и почивка за даденият период у нас има от северната ни съседка Румъния – 167 535. Полша се нарежда на второ място с 85 613 посещения на туристи. Като цяло пътуванията от Германия за периода у нас са 179 969, но едва 44 029 са с цел туризъм. Други страни, от които идват голям брой туристи са Чехия (51 870), Гърция (34 325), Дания (12 356), показват още данните. 21% повече почиващи са избрали хотели с 4 и 5 звезди през юни спрямо 2022 г. Приходите от нощувки достигат 229.2 млн. лв. Делът на гражданите от Европейския съюз, посетили България, е 49.8% от общия брой чужди граждани и достига 914 хил. Посещенията на граждани от други европейски страни са 709.9 хил., или 38,7% от всички посещения в България. Не е изненада, че тази в група най-много туристи идват от Турция (41 309) и Украйна (123 766). Голям брой посетители с цел екскурзия и туризъм са дошли от Великобритания – 47 415. По отношение на пътуванията на българите в чужбина през юли, увеличението е с 12,1% на годишна база. Най-голям брой пътувания на български туристи са пътували до съседните ни страни: Гърция -119 210, Турция – 82 813 , Румъния – 30 413. Италия (20 943) и Франция (14 576) също са сред предпочитаните за почивки от българи. Летище София все още догонва нивата на полети от 2019 г. 13% по-малко полети до Варна и Бургас през юли в сравнение със същия месец през 2019 г.
